Kevin J. de Rooij
Kevin graduated in both Law and Economics from Utrecht University. His major in Law was ‘Economic Public- and Commercial Law’. In 2004, Kevin studied ‘Public International Law’ at the University of Helsinki, Finland. He successfully completed the Grotius specialist course in ‘Corporation and Commercial Law’ in December 2012.
Kevin has worked for several medium and large offices as an attorney, including VWM Taxand and Clifford & Chance. Besides his work as a lawyer, he was also a lecturer in the course “Law and Economics” at the Free University of Amsterdam from 2007 to 2010. On May 1st, 2015, he founded Hendrix Law together with Diederik van Omme.
Kevin has extensive experience in corporate- and commercial law. Kevin mainly specializes in:
- Mergers, acquisitions, shares, management buyouts, joint ventures and other alliances;
- Investments and (re)structuring;
- Shareholder disputes and other disputes relating to the company;
- Corporate governance;
- Franchise-, distribution- and agency agreements; and
- European law.
Kevin’s clients range from start-ups to larger companies. He also regularly assists entrepreneurs who are active in the healthcare sector.
Kevin is a member of the Corporate Litigation Association and the Swedish Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time he loves to play tennis and a bit of guitar. He also runs regularly. He lives in Amsterdam with his girlfriend and their son.
